Structure of our Master's programmes with course descriptions

In the following documents you can find the structure of our MSc programmes and the description of their subjects.

General descriptions of the study fields are available at the given websites below.

The aim of the programmes is to give a broad and widespread literacy in the different fields of computer science; giving the opportunity to meet the latest technologies of software development and teaching awareness-raising theoretical subjects, respectively.
Our programmes are not everybody' taste. Students who have no strong mathematical background or have no solid knowledge in programming, will find our programs too hard that might lead to failing subjects, and eventually resulting in additional years (and costs) of study to finish the study programme.
Our programmes offer you an education with a high standard and numerous possibilities for research, including international projects involving other universities with outstanding reputation.

Applicants are required to take an online entrance exam at the end of May (or in the middle of November). One has to pass the exam to get admission to the Computer Science MSc program. The exam is an online written exam and consists of 1-3 programming problems. Solutions to problems (source programs in Java or C/C++) have to be submitted online.
The Program Coordinator notifies all applicants of the outcome of the selection. The ranking is based on a total evaluation of the academic excellence (considering the bachelor degree and the transcript) and the result of the entrance exam.

When applying for the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship, applicants can choose at most two study programmes and specify the priorities of their applications. According to the regulations of Tempus Public Foundation, this order of preference cannot be changed after the submission of the application. Due to the high number of applicants, we have to set up an entry exam. If one studies computer science, software development and mathematics, then she/he does not need to worry about the exam. Instead of fixing one exact exam date, applicants can have the exam whenever they want within a 2-3 weeks term.
